Chief Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi stated that "the enthusiastic elections serve as a strong shield to safeguard the country from hostile intrigues, as well as an opportunity to boost the state's soft power and strengthen the country's position in the region."

"Elections are a natural right of the people, who feel responsible for this privilege," Major General Mousavi said today, adding that "the level of participation in the elections indicates the level of awareness and insight of the people," and that "the elections lead to more sowing despair among the enemy."

"The acceptability of the sacred Islamic Republic system, the reduction of foreign threats, lifting of sanctions, and the strengthening of the will of foreign investors to deal economically with the country are among the results of the elections in their external dimension," Major General Mousavi noted.

In the third and final presidential discussion, seven presidential contenders gathered on Saturday to discuss their goals and elaborate on their positions on "people's worries."

Earlier, Iranian Islamic Shura Council Head, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, urged Iranians to vote in large numbers in the elections, emphasizing that “those who love Iran and care about its children's future will do so”.
