The newspaper Haaretz quoted Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, saying that "a major election for the presidency of Iran is a signal for the great powers to wake up before returning to the nuclear agreement."

Bennett described the election of Ebrahim Raisi as a "last alarm" to the world.

In this context, the "Israel Defense" website published an article about the new Iranian president, saying that "Ebrahim Raisi belongs to the conservative trend in Iran and is particularly extremist in his hostility to Israel."

The article noted that "Raisi views Hezbollah as a central factor in implementing the Iranian strategy and expects that Iran, under its leadership, will deepen its control in Lebanon, and will grant more extensive civilian and military assistance to Lebanon, especially while Lebanon is suffering from a dangerous economic situation."

With regard to the relationship with the United States, the article considered that "Raisi takes a hard line and will not tolerate the Biden administration's demands, which demand a curtailment of the nuclear program and uranium enrichment. In this regard, the United States of America and perhaps other European countries may refrain from thinking about the possibility of any change in Iran, and the assumption is to increase the forces opposed to negotiations with Iran."

The Israeli website also indicated that "the election of a major and the weakening of the moderate camp increases the possibility that Iran, under his leadership, will continue its policy against "Israel", intensify its operations against it, and push the two countries into an inevitable confrontation."
