The head of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim

The head of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, announced Friday that his movement will not participate in the upcoming Iraqi government and is satisfied with its parliamentary and political role.

In his speech on the occasion of the Iraqi Martyr's Day, Al-Hakim said that others have always bet on thwarting moderation and Iraqi sovereignty, adding that today's gathering is a chance to renew the adherence to the movement's project and responsibility toward Iraqis against challenges.

Al-Hakim stressed that challenges create cohesion and determination, pointing out that there are attempts to disperse Iraqi unity.

The Iraqi leader affirmed that his movement will not deviate from the path of truth and moderation.

Regarding the Iraqi elections, he acknowledge that the results were not fair, indicating that some sides wanted to undermine the presence of Iraqis and keep them away from decision-making.

Despite the "rigged" elections, the Wisdom movement was the first to bless its results for the sake of the interest of the Iraqi people, he added.

Al-Hakim stressed that Iraqis have security and military experiences that enable them to rely on themselves without the need for foreign forces, warning against taking the PMF lightly.
