Russia, Iran, and Turkey announced in a statement at the conclusion of the Astana talks on Syria, today, Thursday, the need to implement the agreements related to northern Syria.

The final statement stated that the guarantor states renewed their "firm commitment to the sovereignty, integrity and territorial integrity of Syria," stressing their "determination to continue working to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations."

The countries affirmed that they "stand against separatist agendas aimed at undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria," condemning the "terrorist attacks targeting civilian facilities in Syria."

The final statement stressed the need to continue continuous cooperation in order to eliminate ISIS and Al-Nusra terrorists and the groups associated with them.

According to the statement, the lasting stability and security in northeastern Syria can only be achieved when preserving Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In addition, the parties reviewed the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone, agreed to make efforts to ensure a sustainable normalization of the situation there, and stressed the need to maintain calm and implement all existing agreements.

SANA reported that the statement also condemned the continued Israeli military attacks on Syria, stressing that they violate international law, international humanitarian law, and the sovereignty of Syria and neighboring countries, endanger stability and security in the region, and demanded their cessation.

The head of the Syrian government delegation to the Astana meeting, Ayman Sousan, stated that the Turkish regime is beating the drums of aggression and targeting Syria under false pretexts.

Sousan added that the Turkish threats to establish a so-called safe zone contradict Astana's resolutions, adding that the illegal US presence on Syrian soil aims to impede the consolidation of stability in the interest of the Zionist entity.

For his part, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said that the West did not say a word to condemn the Israeli aggression that put a civilian facility, Damascus Airport, out of service.
