Ansar Allah chief Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi met Wednesday via videoconference with a large delegation from Ibb Governorate, Yemen, during which he voiced his hope for Ibb to become a living example of coexistence where people bridge gaps between each other.

"The enemies are using various means to sow discord and widen the disparities and gaps [between the people of Yemen]," Sayyed Al-Houthi told the people of the governorate 200 km South of Sanaa.

He also called on the people and officials of Ibb to exert all efforts to protect the Yemeni people against the propaganda and disinformation the Saudi-led coalition might use to serve its interests in the country it has been waging a war against for seven years.

Sayyed Al-Houthi stressed his keenness on protecting the security and social stability in Ibb through reconciliation and cooperation between its officials, affirming the pivotal role of the authorities in handling their responsibilities in terms of fixing and maintaining the governorate's infrastructure.

The top official highlighted the need of tending to the country's agricultural sector, whose negligence he said led to "our nation being among the countries whose food security is at most risk." He voiced his hope that the authorities in Ibb take great care of agriculture in the governorate so that the Yemeni people could benefit from the fertility of its soil.

Regarding the armistice in place between Saudi Arabia and Sanaa, Sayyed Al-Houthi said, "The enemies, in light of the armistice, are making statements about their military preparedness, which reflects how they will embark on the upcoming stage [...] the enemies' latest arrangements are built on all the losses they sustained during the latest stage."

He commented on the new Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council with links to the Saudi-led coalition, which was formed last month, saying, "When the enemies succeeded in imposing one of their agents on the Yemeni people, he was toppled in a humiliating manner."

The new council "is a handful of criminals, traitors, and thieves they appointed by a foreign decision," he said, revealing that several officials appointed by foreign powers were surprised by the decision themselves.

"We cannot accept to be controlled by US decisions, and those who allow the decision-making to be done by a Saudi or UAE officer are traitors," Al-Houthi added.

He also touched on the wave of normalization with the Israeli occupation in the region, stressing that those who were spearheading the aggression against Yemen were also leading the normalization effort with the Israeli occupation.

"The enemies' goal is to rob our people of their power so that they are easier to control," he said, underscoring that the Yemeni people are pursuing their independence and freedom from foreign interference in their nation's affairs.
