Lebanese Hezbollah strongly condemned on Monday the deadly bomb attack in central Istanbul that killed six people and wounded 81.

"We believe that the whole world, especially the governments and peoples of our region, are required to take a firm stance against all the savage and terrorist groups at all levels, whether politically, intellectually, or practically," Hezbollah considered in a statement.

The Lebanese Resistance party pointed out that no country in the world is immune to the harm and danger of these groups, calling for action and a unified stance against this phenomenon and its dangerous security repercussions.

Similarly, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemned the recent terrorist attack that targeted Istanbul.

In a statement, Kanaani expressed that "we strongly condemn any act of terrorism that targets the security of Turkey and its people," adding that "we stand by the brotherly and friendly government and people of the Republic of Turkey."

Earlier in the day, Turkey's Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu confirmed that the suspect who planted an explosive device in Istanbul on Sunday has been arrested.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that the explosion was a "treacherous attack", vowing that those responsible would face consequences.

Ankara has blamed the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) for carrying out the attack, but the Kurdish militant group denied any involvement in the attack.
