A spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army announced on Sunday that occupation forces opened fire on two allegedly armed men who attempted to cross the Syrian-Palestinian border into the occupied Syrian Golan, killing one of them and injuring the other, Israeli media reported.

According to the Israeli spokesperson, the second managed to return to the Syrian territories.

Al Mayadeen correspondent also confirmed that Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire on two people who approached the Syrian-Palestinian border.

It is worth mentioning that “Israel” occupied the Syrian Golan Heights in the 1967 Six-Day War. Citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan have repeatedly reaffirmed their categorical rejection of the Israeli occupation decision to "annex" the Golan, stressing that the Golan has been, still is, and will remain Syrian Arab territory and that the Israeli occupation will inevitably perish.
