The member of Hamas' political bureau, Zaher Jabarin, told Al Mayadeen that the Israeli occupation is trying, through its escalatory actions against Palestinian prisoners, to guarantee some seats in the upcoming elections and secure political gains, at the expense of the blood of the martyrs and the wounded.

Jabarin affirmed that prisoners from all Palestinian factions are united inside Israeli occupation prisons and have a unified joint committee.

He indicated that the Captive Movement is a unified movement today and is not affiliated with a specific faction, stressing that Palestinian factions are united just as prisoners inside occupation prisons.

The official pointed out that all Resistance factions are carefully observing the developments inside Israeli prisons, emphasizing that "We have the will and ability to continue the journey until all the rights of our people are achieved, foremost of which is the protection of our prisoners, their rights and their achievements."

Jabarin said that the Palestinian factions are in continuous meetings to discuss the conditions of the prisoners, warning that all options are on the table in the event that the occupation crosses its red lines.

Regarding humanitarian prisoners exchange deals, Jabarin indicated that "We proposed a humanitarian exchange deal when prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid's health condition was deteriorating," but the Israeli occupation is procrastinating and evading the matter and is not ready to complete the deal, and is so far not showing seriousness about taking this step.

The Hamas official said that the goal of the Israeli occupation is to end the life of every Palestinian and does not see Palestinians having a right to this land.

Jabarin stressed that Palestinians have the will to sacrifice in order to end this occupation.

Fares: Prisons Authority intends to take retaliatory measures

On his part, the head of the Palestinian Prisoners Club, Qadura Fares, said that the Palestinian prisoners are fighting a defensive battle for their gains, warning that if the Israeli Prisons Authority does not initiate a dialogue with the leaders of the Palestinian Captive Movement, the prisoners will begin a hunger strike.

Fares pointed out that the Prisons Authority knows that transferring prisoners has a coercive vengeance rather than security measures.

He stressed that Palestinians are in a confrontation with the occupation and they must move forward, persevere, and be victorious on all fronts, adding that the occupation will cumulatively decline.

"We must continue our struggle against this occupation until its withdrawal," Fares underlined.

Regarding the unity of the Palestinian factions, Fares affirmed that all factions work under the banner of the Palestinian flag and support prisoners, stressing that the factions must have a unified narrative away from political dispute, pointing out that the prisoners are a symbol of inspiration for all the Palestinian people.

Palestinian prisoners threaten escalation in light of arbitrariness

Earlier, the Supreme National Emergency Committee of the Palestinian Captive Movement announced entering a new phase of confrontation with the Israeli occupation by dissolving on Sunday the organization in all occupation prisons, in the last step of rebellion against the Israeli jailer and its decisions before the start of an open hunger strike, the date of which was set by the committee.

In the same context, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said Thursday that hundreds of Palestinian prisoners have started going out of their cells and designated blocks to protest in the prison yards as part of their steps of rebellion against the Israeli occupation's mismanagement of its prisons.
