According to a recent survey, Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis leads President Biden in at least two crucial swing states, while former President Donald Trump is behind the President.

The Public Opinion Strategies poll, conducted from April 11 to 13, indicates that in a hypothetical battle between Joe Biden and DeSantis in Arizona and Pennsylvania, the Florida governor would win, but Biden would beat Trump in both states.

DeSantis leads Biden by 3 points in Pennsylvania, 45% to 42%, while Trump lags the incumbent by 4 points, 42% to 46%.

The survey also revealed that in Arizona, DeSantis would defeat Biden 48% to 42%, while Trump would defeat the incumbent 44% to 45%.

In the 2020 election, Trump lost Arizona to Biden by fewer than 11,000 votes, or 49.39% to 49.01%.

Pennsylvanians voted for Biden, who was born in Scranton, Pa., in the last election. Trump, 76, filed unsuccessful lawsuits to challenge the results of both state elections.

The survey backs up DeSantis supporters' arguments that the Florida Republican is more electable than Trump in a general election.

Trump, who is now facing 34 felony counts in Manhattan for allegedly fabricating transactions connected to unlawful "catch and kill" payments in a plan to conceal bad headlines about him before the 2016 election, declared his bid for the presidency in 2024 in November.

DeSantis is likely to announce his bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 once the Florida legislative session concludes in May.

On Sunday, the Trump campaign slammed the survey, calling it "truly a POS poll."

In both Arizona and Pennsylvania, Public Opinion Strategies questioned 500 registered voters.

Biden, 80, has stated his intention to compete for re-election in 2024, but he has yet to officially open his campaign.
