Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that he has no doubts that the goals of the special military operation for protecting the Donbass region will be achieved.

"This is what will happen. There are no doubts. The goals are perfectly clear, they are noble," Putin said about the operation in front of space industry workers at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

Praising the Russian troops for their role in the operation, Putin noted that the soldiers are "demonstrating courage, acting in a proper, professional and effective manner, using the most advanced weapons with unique features."

Main goal of operation is to help people in Donbass

The Russian president explained that the main goal of the operation "is to help the people of Donbass, which we have recognized, and we had to do it, because Kiev authorities, encouraged by the West, refused to implement the Minsk Agreements, aimed at peaceful resolution of Donbass’ problems."

Putin highlighted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated publicly that Ukraine "does not like" any clause of the Minsk Agreements, and "other officials stated that the implementation of the Minsk Agreements is impossible."

"They rejected it publicly. Well, it was simply impossible to continue to tolerate this genocide that was going on for eight years," he underscored.

Neo-Nazis were deliberately planted in Ukraine

Putin considered that "Ukraine started to morph into an anti-Russian base of operations, began to grow the sprouts of nationalism and neo-Nazism that had been there for a long time."

He mentioned that "Neo-Nazis were deliberately planted there, and Russia's clash with these forces was inevitable; they were only choosing the right time to attack."

Russia will team up with Belarus

In a different context, the Russian President announced that Russia will team up with Belarus to accomplish "a major project for the production and launch of special spacecraft for remote sensing of the Earth," TASS reported.

"We combined the scientific and industrial potential of Russia and the leading enterprises of Belarus, which have always been famous — since Soviet times — for their competencies in the production of high-precision equipment, sophisticated optoelectronic and radio engineering systems," Putin concluded.
