Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and the Omani Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi considered on Saturday that the United States is angered at Iran's progress, vowing that it will regret the hypocritical behavior toward Iran.

During a meeting with the Omani Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, in Tehran, Raisi said the Tehran-Muscat relations are strong and deep-rooted, stressing that these relations are expanding on a daily basis, despite the enemies' ill-wishes.

The Iranian President said, "In recent months, positive steps have been taken towards the implementation of the agreements between the two countries."

Raisi pointed out that "the animosity of the hegemonic system, led by the United States, against the Iranian nation is evident to everyone today," explaining that "Americans' anger and enmity against the progress of the Iranian nation has always been there and failed in the past four decades, but the Americans do not learn from their defeats."

The Iranian President also appreciated Muscat's principled positions on cooperation with Tehran in advancing international issues and emphasized Iran's readiness to achieve a fair and based-on-justice agreement.

"Some regional and international parties regularly convey the message of cooperation and interaction. They give, but when it comes to taking practical steps, their behavior is different from their words. This hypocrisy will definitely make them regret," Raisi stressed.

On his part, Albusaidi expressed his appreciation for Iran's principled stances towards regional and international files, especially President Raisi's approach to strengthening regional relations and cooperation.

"Oman's relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are exemplary compared to other countries. We want the continuation and development of these relations in different fields," the Omani Foreign Minister said.

Albusaidi also expressed his support for Iran's position and approach in the nuclear talks, saying, "We believe that Iran's firmness and honest behavior will achieve results."

It is noteworthy that in mid-August, Israeli media reported that "the Sultanate of Oman refused to open its airspace to Israeli flights," saying that "Iranian pressure is doing its thing."

Last May, Raisi said that the stances of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman were "noticeably consistent on many issues," noting that "good relations between Iran and Oman enhance regional cooperation."
