Tunisian President Kais Saied

Tunisian President Kais Saied reaffirmed on Friday, the country's political determination to address the country's economic, financial, and social conditions.

During a cabinet meeting, Saied stated that a sincere and honest national dialogue would be launched, in which Tunisian youth would be able to engage.

Saied disclosed that the discussions will cover a range of issues, including the political and electoral systems, and it would be radically different from previous experiences.

The Tunisian President indicated that the dialogue would take place within an agreed time frame and with new "mechanisms, formulas, and perceptions."

Ennahda: Exceptional measures undermined the democratic experience

In a related context, the Ennahda movement in Tunisia emphasized the need to eliminate the country's extraordinary measures.

In a statement, the movement emphasized the need of resuming parliamentary action to provide the legal framework for the administration, noting that the Tunisian President's exceptional measures undermined the democratic experience.

Earlier, the European Union's Foreign Policy chief, Josep Borrell, expressed concerns over Tunisia to the nation's President. He underscored the importance of leading Tunisia toward the "re-establishment of institutional stability, preserving its democratic foundations."
