In a report, Israeli media highlighted a sharp increase in the use of antidepressants and anxiolytics among illegal Israeli settlers.

According to the Israeli I24NEWS website, the increased concern about the tense geopolitical situation, "Israel's" political and economic future, and post-coronavirus pressure, has led to a significant surge in the prescription of antidepressants and anxiolytics among Israelis in recent years.

The news website cited some Israeli health professionals as saying that one in three Israelis, most of whom are women, suffers from a panic attack regularly, noting that the number is probably much higher.

Israeli media have previously reported a significant increase in the number of Israeli settlers who need psychological treatment due to the tense security incidents and the recent surge in Palestinian Resistance operations.

In mid-May, the Israeli Channel 12 indicated that psychological protection centers of the Israeli occupation recorded a sharp increase in the number of those seeking help after Operation Avenging the Free that the Palestinian Resistance launched in response to the latest Israeli occupation aggression against the Gaza Strip.
