'Move [Palestinians] around to different countries,' says President Trump
Speaking at the White House after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump openly reiterated his desire for the US to “control and own the Gaza Strip,” calling it “an incredible piece of important real estate.” As for the fate of Gaza’s 2.1 million indigenous Palestinians, Trump said," If you take the people, the Palestinians, and move them around to different countries, and you have plenty of countries that will do that, and you really have a freedom zone. You call it the freedom zone. A free zone, a zone where people aren't going to be killed every day." Netanyahu had expressed the same idea at the meeting, claiming that "Israel" is "committed to "enabling the people of Gaza to freely make a choice, to go wherever they want. I mean, they should have that choice."
