In an exclusive interview for Al Mayadeen English, Secretary General of the Asian Mayors Forum Dr. Hamidreza Gholamzadeh addressed the diminishing dominance of the US dollar due to significant geopolitical changes, the rise of digital currencies, and the distribution of power across the world. Consequently, traditional methods like the Marshall Plan and Bretton Woods agreements, which previously helped the US maintain dollar dominance, are no longer effective. He believes that the decline of the dollar's dominance is inevitable.
