In light of a bill passed by the Senate to provide the Israeli occupation with over $26 billion in funds and weapons, over 100 people were arrested during mass protests against the US-supported Israeli war on Gaza outside the residence of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in New York City, US media outlets reported. At the protest, Executive Director at Jewish Voice for Peace, Stefanie Fox, said, "The energy you feel here tonight is where history is headed. It's toward justice for freedom, toward equality. And all of those who are continuing to arm and fund this genocide will be understood as doing just that."
