At the 2024 Qatar Economic Forum, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman al-Thani addressed the ceasefire deal in Gaza, pointing out that it has reached a "stalemate" due to "Israel's" invasion of Rafah. He further emphasized that Qatar will continue being a mediator as long as "Israel's" war on Gaza persists.
