Winter arrives in Gaza
3 Jan 0 Shares
Winter has brought devastation to Gaza, where over a million Palestinians endure harsh conditions without proper shelter. In just two days, heavy rains flooded 1,542 tents in camps and shelters, leaving families stranded and their few belongings destroyed. Rescue teams found tents submerged in over 30 cm of water in areas like Yarmouk Stadium, Gaza Municipality Park, and Khan Younis. Many families, already displaced by "Israel's" war, now face further suffering with no safe refuge. The floods have turned makeshift shelters into sites of despair, exposing the vulnerability of Gaza's displaced population to life-threatening conditions this winter.
